A gay ally
Just had a really embarrassing moment For PFLAG, the ally evolution started inwhen our founder, Jeanne Manford, publicly identified herself as an ally to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community, establishing herself as the mother of the modern-day ally movement.
Like cisgender people, we have varying forms of gender expression. Straight allies are important in the lives of people within the LGBTQ+ community (and outside of them). Remember that these identities are part of other identities, and intersect with race, class, sizeage, sexuality, immigration status, etc.

If your organization is holding an event, designate a gender-neutral bathroom in the building. Remember that many intersex individuals prioritize discussing how to combat human rights abuses [like surgeries on intersex infants], rather than being used as examples to explore concepts in sex and gender theory.
If trans people want to share these details with you, allow them to do so on their own terms. Most historians agree that there is evidence of homosexual gay and same-sex love, whether such relationships were accepted or persecuted, in every documented culture. Do listen if a trans person chooses to talk to you about their gender identity.
A straight ally, more specifically, is an individual outside of the LGBTQ+ community that supports their fight for equality and rights. The straight ally flag. Try not to view individuals as spokespeople; trans communities are diverse, not one monolithic voice or viewpoint.

Being a good ally is about affirming the person’s sexual or gender identity, demonstrating that you accept and validate this aspect of the person, taking actions to reduce any personal biases. Recognize that trans women and trans feminine people deal with sexism and misogyny in a very real way on top of transphobia.
